Christmas is celebrated all over the world on the day when Jesus Christ was born. It is widely observed on December 25th every year. The Christmas tree is an evergreen tree which is decorated with lights, gifts boxes and other colorful accessories. In many countries it is a tradition to make Cribs in Christmas season. The crib is decorated with small statues of Jesus, mother Mary, angles, Joseph and others in remembrance of the birth of Jesus. Santa Claus popularly called as Christmas papa is an element of fun on Christmas days. Santa Claus brings gifts to every houses and distribute sweets to children. He comes in red attire with a white beard and a cap. They usually visit the houses in the night of Christmas eve. A Christmas carol is a carol or song on the theme of Christmas. Usually a santa clause is accompanied by a carol. Christmas carols are sung in different lyrics in different countries.
Christians attend mass prayers and wear new clothes and accessories on the day. They exchange gifts and share their happiness among friends and families. The day is celebrated with fun and enthusiasm. It’s a day for get together with family, relatives and friends. Every house prepare good food for its members and they enjoy the food together. Churches are decorated with flowers and candles and massive prayers are conducted. In many countries, Christmas period is considered as holidays.
